FAQ's

The Scriptures

There are parking spaces on the East and West sides of the church.  But for first time guests please use the designated “First Time Visitor’s” parking spots on our East parking lot.  There a member of our Greeter ministry will meet you.

When do I need to arrive?

Sunday Services begin at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday School is at 8:30 a.m. Plan to arrive fifteen minutes before your desired Worship/Bible Study time to allow for parking and/or traffic.

What happens when I get there?

You will be welcomed by a greeter when you arrive. They will assist you with making your visit comfortable by seating you and providing you with information regarding all church programming.

What will happen before the service begins?

You will be directed to a seat by one of our ushers. A Bulletin and offering envelopes are located in the slots directly in front of you as you sit in the pew.

What do I bring?

A Bible will help you to follow along in Worship and in Bible Study. If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. Our Pastor will always refer to the Bible during his messages. If you don’t have a Bible, or forget to bring your Bible, Bibles are available upon request.

What are the services like?

Our Worship Services are a time of joyful worship and praise, our 10:00 a.m. service offer a blend of traditional and contemporary music styles.

What are the pastor’s messages like?

The Pastor gives Bible-based messages lasting about 40 minutes. He asks that we stand during the brief Bible reading to honor God’s Word. His messages are timely and often sprinkled with appropriate humor.

What about children?

At St. James Baptist, we love children! We want you and your child(ren) to have the best experience possible. We provide a classroom experience for children three Sundays each month in our very structured Children’s Church. The ages are from 3-12 and this will take place during our regularly scheduled Worship Service at 10 a.m. We also have Bible Study classes on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. for all ages. Dinner for the family starts around 6:00 p.m. If you prefer, your children are welcome to stay with you during the service. In addition, we have a Nursery available for children ages 3 months to 3 years old at our 10 a.m. Worship Service.

Is there handicap parking?

Yes, located along the East and West sides of the building.
