St. James hosts local Black art exhibit:
Over the last two weeks, God has given me the assignment of ministering from the subject of "Accepting People As They Are". I was encouraged by the Apostle Paul to show compassion to all of humanity regardless of external features, past issues and even those that have wronged me in any manner.
Over the course of the last few years, we have designated each year as a focus point for the body. This is an attempt to keep us all on one accord and to be single-minded in our focus relative to our teaching, preaching and ministry opportunities. It also allows us to give an account on what we are doing as a church body when asked by those who don’t attend our fellowship.
For instance, in 2009, it was the Year of Obedience. 2010 was the Year of Change. 2011 was the Year of Commitment and 2012 was the Year of Discipleship.
